    I’d say no.
Dieticians follow the medical model and are very research based in their approach to diet. Recomendations change regularly as new research comes to light.
Fat used to be our enemy. Now some fats have been established as good for you and others not.
Pregnant women used to be advised to eat Liver as its full of iron…..
….Its also full of vitamin A which can cause physical deformities in fetuses so is no longer recomended.
Margerine was promoted in favour of butter now its gone back to butter….
To become a dietician takes some doing and registration is required.
    Anyone can be a nutritionist.

Nutritionists have college degrees in the subject, and are indeed mainline health professionals. Certified dietitians are too, but there are quite a few minimally qualified people who call themselves dietitians – and not a few of that group have absolutely no legitimate credentials whatsoever. It can be confusing for lay people to tell the difference. The best references to this sort of service provider comes from your medical doctor.

I’m not sure what your question actually is.
Anyone can call themselves a nutritionist, even me.
A dietician has to pass exams, have a university degree, do medical practice, pass an examination board, do continuous training etc and after all that be licenced as a dietician. A nutritionist just has to say “I am a nutritionist”

‘Nutritionist’ is not a protected term; anyone can call them self one so it is open to quackery. ‘Dietitian’ is a legally protected term, there are educational and professional requirements and the industry is regulated. A much better choice.
