Metal Object In Chinese Delivery…?

By admin Posted in: chinese health

Welp.
I ordered chinese food a couple hours ago, been nibbling at it slowly.
Started nomming on my chinese noodles and there’s a small rusty metal thing in the food that looks like piece of a nail.
I bagged it along with the rest of the noodles, now… Who should I call? Try to find a number for local health board (Help with that would be appreciated) or the restaurant? Or option C?
Thanks.
Definitely concerned because this could’ve lacerated my throat easily, I caught it while it was in my mouth even. Ugh.

Call or visit the restaurant, talk to the manager about it.
A cooking utensil may have broken during the prep of your meal.
Make them aware of it, and look for compensation. That meal and/or next meal should be free if you decide continue patronizing their restaurant.
Keep those pictures and all evidence of the conversation with the manager. If you’ve found a foreign object in your meal, you may have also swallowed a smaller piece. If so, you need evidence for any future legal action.

I would immediately call the restaurant and speak to the manager and tell them your situation. If they are nice about it I would just leave it at that, if they wana be a jerk about it I’d call a lawyer

I would first call the restaurant, it is possible something may have broke with their equipment and they may not even be aware of it, plus you may get a refund.

I think the first thing I would do is go to the HOSPITAL!! Make sure you are alright and then take the evidence with you to the restaurant!

Holy crap. What would I do? I wouldn’t eat from that place again no matter how good their food is. Just find another Chinese place.
As for calling someone, I can’t help ya =(

i think if you know the number to your local police precinct, you could call and do an incident report. keep a copy for your records

I wouldn’t call the police cuz they have bigger things to worry about, like actual crimes. I’d def go to the rest & talk to the manager/owner & show him the evidence & ask what can be done to make things right. It reminds me one time of an old boyfriend & I were @ a Mexican rest & there was a piece of glass in in enchilada or whatever he was eating, but it was in his mouth & luckily he didn’t chomp down on it. We told waitress & they were very upset it happened & gave food for free. It looked like a jar had broken & got in food. Also one other time I had a sticker saying Mon & the date in my salad, so unfortunately these things happen. I would def say sumthin though cuz if they care about their reputation & customers, they’ll make it right. Good luck with it
