I tried cupping for very tense muscles in my back. I suffer with neck/shoulder/back pain so thought I would give it a go. I found that it drew the tight muscles in my lower back away from my spine and softened them. Quite a relief! Left red circles all over me but worth it yes.
My sister had accupuncture for her eczema and said she saw some benefits. She cajoled me into it and i lay there like an extra from hellraiser and was told to relax for 30 mins or so but tbh it was an impossible task for me with all those needles in me. I’m pretty sure any benefits would take many sessions to realise but my anxiety from one session more than cancelled them out. It’s not for everyone.
I use chinese herbal medicine and there is no doubt in my mind about its efficacy. Some things western medicine is superior eg. surgery. In some areas such chronic conditions as eczema chinese medicine is better as it treats your whole body and it’s general health instead of just your skin and immune system. The tea broth you get usually tastes foul so that turns alot of people off but some come pill form.
Fire cupping improves circulation which is a no brainer. It’s not something i have tried but would like to.
The downside is that chinese medicine depends heavily on the skill of the practioner and that varies widely. It is extremely hard to regulate it as everyone gets a different prescription of herbs depending on personal factors even if they are suffering from the same disease. While some western doctors are better than others due to experience and diagnosis the treatments are standardised and each drug has one active ingredient.
I have had acupuncture many times. My chiropractor is also licensed to do acupuncture and did so when chiropractic methods didn’t help with me.
I have issues with my back, shoulder and neck which it helped tremendously on.
Yes, it is very helpful. Also helps with your lymphatic system and helps remove toxins from your body
