It’s always been my dream since I was about in the 3rd grade to go to Stanford and am going to do everything in my power to best my chances of getting in. I’m currently a freshmen at a prestigious prep school, but our school doesn’t give out A+s and the best gpa you can get is a 4.0. I just finished my first semester and got all As, with the exception of PE, which due to my asthma, I performed poorly on the fitness testing. I’m currently taking:
Geometry Honors, PE I, Fine Arts (graduation requirement), World History (no honors history available for freshmen), English I Honors, Faith Formation, and Spanish II
Next year I plan on taking:
Precalculus Honors, Health, English II Honors, Hebrew Scripture, Spanish III Honors, Physics Honors, and either Chinese I or Journalism
Is this a good path? Note that the Geometry Honors is extremely accelerated and covers algebra II and Trig. Am I doing enough to get into Stanford? I’m also in the winter musical, part of drama club, and on the tennis team. Is it okay that my school doesn’t weight my grades? Will Stanford compare my unweighted gpa to someone else’s weighted gpa? Should I attempt to write a book? I love to write and English is my biggest passion. I know I’m only a freshmen, but I want to stand out. I’m not questioning whether I’m smart enough, but I’m questioning whether that A- in pe will hurt my chances of getting in and whether I’m on the right track. Any insight would be very helpful!

There are many, many colleges out there, and I’m sure you’ll find a great college to go to.
I don’t really know how “prestigious prep schools” work, but I’m sure you’re doing great, especially the fact that you pretty much have all A’s.
I’m also not too sure about Stanford… are you sure you even want to go there? You should really visit the college before you plan your whole high school career on Stanford’s requirements.
I personally think that you should pick your college depending on what you want, rather than doing things that a particular college wants.
Does your school offer AP/IB classes? If so, you should take them. Or i guess honors classes…
I think you are on a good path overall((:
good luck!
hope this helped (:
